The Viking 70 Sky Bridge builds on the new generation 70 platform, combining open-air visibility at the helm with the added comfort of an enclosed bridge below. It offers the command and sightlines of a traditional bridge boat, along with the protection and additional living space found in the enclosed configuration.
At 70 feet, this model delivers the range, ride quality, and layout expected in a tournament-ready sportfishing yacht, while giving owners flexibility in how they run and use the boat offshore.
The Viking 70 Sky Bridge is part of the second-generation 70 series, built on a clean-sheet design focused on performance, efficiency, and usability offshore. Drawing from the proven DNA of Viking’s 74, 82, and 90, the 70 Sky Bridge benefits from refined hull geometry and a layout shaped by real-world experience.
The Sky Bridge configuration builds on the Enclosed Bridge model, adding a second helm station above with open-air visibility, while retaining a fully protected bridge below that functions as a second salon or command center.
The Viking 70 features a newly developed hull with adjustments to deadrise, chine placement, and strake geometry, resulting in a smoother, drier ride and improved efficiency offshore. A slightly narrower beam helps the boat run cleaner while maintaining interior volume. The extended cockpit is built into the design from the start, ensuring the boat remains balanced while providing more working space during fishing.
The 70 Sky Bridge is designed to run efficiently across a range of offshore conditions while maintaining strong top-end performance.
With Viking’s Advanced Propulsion System—including flow-aligned running gear, propeller pockets, and electronic steering—the 70 is expected to reach speeds in the low 40-knot range depending on configuration.
The Sky Bridge adds an upper helm station with seating, giving the captain elevated visibility and open-air control while running or maneuvering. It’s a setup that appeals to owners who prefer to run from above in good conditions, while still having the option of a fully enclosed bridge below. The enclosed bridge provides a weather-protected helm station and additional interior space, connected to the salon via an interior staircase.
Key Sky Bridge Features
This dual-helm configuration gives flexibility depending on conditions, allowing owners to run comfortably in any environment.
The cockpit has been lengthened to give crews more room to work during tournament conditions. The layout supports efficient movement and maintains clear sightlines from both helm stations. The 70 is engineered for full offshore capability, including integration for Palm Beach Towers tuna towers, outriggers, and sonar systems.
The salon layout mirrors the Enclosed Bridge model, with a natural flow from cockpit to living space. A portside L-shaped settee, raised dinette, and integrated storage create a functional main deck.
The galley can be configured in two ways:
The interior is built in Viking’s in-house Mill, with horizontal-grain walnut finishes throughout.
Below deck, the Viking 70 Sky Bridge features a four-stateroom, five-head layout designed for both owners and crew. The layout includes a full-beam master stateroom, forward VIP, and additional guest staterooms. The aft crew quarters offer private access to the engine room, supporting extended trips and tournament use.
The engine room is designed for accessibility and long-term ownership, with systems positioned for easy maintenance.
Finished in Snow White Awlgrip, the space provides clear visibility for routine service.
The Viking 70 Sky Bridge reflects decades of development from Viking’s design, engineering, and production teams. With more than 220 yachts delivered in the 68- to 72-foot range, this model continues a lineage built on performance, reliability, and tournament success.
