Versatility. Efficiency. Performance. Outback Yachts, adhering to the concept of form follows function, has completely re-imagined recreational yachting. The Outback team, seasoned industry veterans, worked with legendary Michael Peters Yacht Design to create an amazingly versatile, extremely efficient, and exceptionally seaworthy yacht. Perfect for day outings, weekend adventures, or open water cruising, her expansive outdoor deck space and practical interior accommodations provides the best in safe and comfortable cruising. Their flagship model, the Outback 50, actually 56’ in length, offers endless possibilities. She draws only 3 feet and has a keel to protect her running gear. With a pair of 480 hp Volvos she delivers speeds to 25 knots. A custom-built version can be delivered in less than a year.
This unique Michael Peters design has the engines and generator placed under the aft deck, rather than under the salon sole. Her conventional straight shaft drive eliminates the complexity of the IPS or V drive alternatives and has a much shorter length shaft than other conventional drive vessels. The fuel and water are positioned over the center of buoyancy, so the trim is never affected by your fluid levels, and all that weight is concentrated where it benefits performance the most. This arrangement creates a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride. The Outback 50 is also extremely economical with a range of approximately 1200 miles at trawler speeds.
Whether you’re out on the water for the day, a weekend adventure, or a longer offshore cruise, the revolutionary Outback 50 offers endless possibilities.
