Eden Bound was conceptualized and built by Peter Sever with Robert C. Johnston as the naval architect. Eden Bound was so beloved by Peter and all who saw her that he started building Cape Horn Trawlers, of which 15 hulls were built. The 2nd owner purchased Eden Bound in Ft.Lauderdale and spent years cruising until settling in Phuket. The owner was aboard having breakfast when the tsunami struck and was the only boat to survive in his harbor. While EB did sustain a "knock-over," her only damage was paint damage from the floating debris...and coffee stains to her ultra-suede headliner.
The current owners purchased Eden Bound in 2019. After an almost complete mechanical and cosmetic refit, they began their cruising with intentions of taking her to their home port in Hawaii. Unfortunately they only got as far as Singapore when family matters called them home.
Refit history: The 2nd owner had the Thrustmaster Z-drive replaced with a fixed hydraulic drive and (2) John Deere engines. Through the guidance of Peter Sever and Bob Johnston, the owner added a teak-covered 4' swim platform. Additionally he enclosed the upper deck and added an aluminum mast and boom.
The details of the refit are included in the specs below. The current owner is a retired chief engineer on commercial vessels and a degreed Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical engineer. These owners are the kind you want to buy a boat from!
Walk-throughEntry into the salon is from the double watertight doors on the aft deck or from the watertight door on the starboard side into the galley. In a continuous flow, forward is the galley. Up four stairs leads to the pilothouse with watertight entry doors to port and starboard.
From the galley, stairs lead to the living quarters below. Forward is the guest stateroom with a double bed. To port is a guest cabin with two pullman bunks. Starboardside has a guest head forward; a utility room services numerous systems. Aft is the master stateroom with ensuite head.
The engine room is accessed from the aft deck or from the watertight door aft of the master stateroom.
Access to the flybridge is via stairs on the aft deck.
SalonEntry to the salon is from the double watertight doors from the aft deck or from the starboard side watertight door in the galley. The teak woodwork and the oversized panoramic windows give a light and warm ambience. The salon and galley, as in all of the interior cabins, had a new insulated ceiling installed with 220v LED lighting. Also installed in 2022 was the teak panelling over the newly insulated aluminum superstructure. Additionally, new 110v and 220v electrical outlets were installed including USB charging outlets.
The galley is a contiguous flow from the salon or can be entered from the pilothouse or the watertight door starboardside.
Entry to the pilothouse is from port or starboard watertight doors or forward up a few stairs from the galley.

Down a few stairs from the main deck leads to the living quarters companionway which has 7' headroom. Entry into the amidships/aft master stateroom is through a watertight door backed by privacy door so that when tucked in, one is facing a finely finished maple door rather than the steel door creating a watertight compartment encompassing the stateroom. The centerline bed is flanked by a nightstand on each side. Numerous hanging lockers and chest of drawers provide more than generous stowage. Entry to the ensuite head is portside. Entry to the engine room is through another watertight door aft. The size of the master stateroom and the abundance of drawers and lockers belies that this is only a 58' yacht.
