Joystick ControlINTRODUCTION
The Oyster 43DL and later OM43 are limited production jet boats built by Oyster Marine of New Zealand a well builder of quality sailing vessels. Her power is provided by twin Yanmar diesels with Hamilton jet drives offering shallow draft and excellent maneuverability via the Blue arrow control system. The exterior appearance has been influenced by Downeast Picnic boat details while her interior was geared to entertain.
HULL and DECK
Construction:
Hull
- Molded composite laminate of fiberglass. (FRP) vinylester resin with combination of e-glass, Kevlar and carbon fiber further reinforced with stingers, bulkheads, FRP composite parts and other transverse and longitudinal to the members bonded to the hull structure. The hull is solid laminate below the waterline and cored with balsa above. A full width FRP swim platform with chalked teak plank inlays.Â
Deck
- Molded balsa-cored FRP laminate incorporating the foredeck, side decks, cabin house, bridge deck, gunwales and cockpit in one contiguous structure. Non-skid panels on foredeck, cabin top and cockpit, chalked teak plank overlays on the cockpit sole.
