This 2001 Post 50 Convertible is in outstanding condition and has been well-maintained and continuously updated by its knowledgeable owner. Ave Maria has the highly desirable CAT 3406 diesels with low hours. It features Sea Mist Green hullsides and the entire vessel was repainted in 2011 and has an impressive shine. The new aftercoolers are only 2 years old and the owner has added a 27k BTU bridge air conditioner along with a bow thruster. The four-sided bridge enclosure is only about 3 years old and completely clear and can be easily opened if the air conditioning is not desired.

Triple spreader Rupp outriggers and the very large cockpit with transom door make this model an ideal cruising or fishing platform. There is a low-profile Marquipt 1000# hydraulic davit for those wanting to add a tender on the bow. Newer triple Garmin MFD screens on the bridge and 72-mile radar with 6 ft open array.

The interior of the 50 Post is beautifully laid out and Ave Marie has the beautiful gloss teak woodwork with Amtico flooring throughout the vessel. The 3 stateroom/2 head layout with washer and dryer is ideal for cruising with friends.

Walkthrough

Ave Maria has been extremely well maintained and shows it before you even step aboard. The painted hull and cabin shine and the brightwork is corrosion free. Ave Maria is equipped with Rupp triple spreader outriggers as well as a center rigger. There are six rod holders located on the aft flybridge railing and four more located along the cockpit coverboards. The painted railings located along the cabin sides, the wide side deck and the aluminum bow rail make for a secure passage onto the bow for line handling or anchor duties. The large bow has a 1000 lb low profile hydraulic davit with plenty of room for a tender of your choice. The electric windlass with foot controls is also located on the bow.

Boarding from the stern the cockpit is very large with plenty of room to add a fighting chair if desired. The current owner has a removeable pedestal mounted table located in the center of the cockpit. There is a large transom door with gate located on the starboard side of the transom. There are two large insulated fish boxes located port and starboard in the cockpit deck. Movable boarding step boxes are also located port and starboard for easier boarding and access to the side deck gunnels. In the forward part of the cockpit on the starboard side is the 50 amp shorepower cord with cablemaster, The starboard side cabinet houses a top opening freezer. Immediately to port is the sliding door entrance into the main salon with a hinged storage step at the entry way. Next to port is the engine room entrance and the ladder to the flybridge just to port of the engine room entrance. the cabinet all the way on the port side houses tackle drawers and a bait prep station with fresh and raw water washdown connections under the forward port gunnel. The entire cockpit is non skid fiberglass and the forward portion of the cockpit is covered by the large bridge overhang offered by the Post bridge design.

Going up the cockpit ladder leads to the large flybridge with a factory hardtop and newer bridge enclosure that is in excellent condition. Ave Maria's bridge features a custom air conditioning system with 27k BTU so it will actually cool even in the summer heat. The bridge has two helm seats located at the helm with plenty of room to walk in front of or behind the seats when moving around. There is a lounge seating that runs fore and aft on the port side and a L shaped lounge in front of the helm console and on the starboard side. All of the upholstery has been recently replaced and is in excellent condition.

The helm itself houses all the necessary controls and instrumentation for the CAT diesels. There are three Garmin multi function displays, VHF radio, stereo, bow thruster control, trim tabs controls, auto pilot and anchor windlass controls. There are excellent sight lines from the helm to the cockpit and the bow as well.

The salon is entered through the sliding door on the starboard side of the cockpit. The salon has L shaped seating directly to port with integrated storage. A large padded ottoman with hidden storage is located in front of the L seating. Immediately to starboard upon entering is the electric breaker panel conveniently located at eye level with a counter and storage cabinet beneath. Just forward is a reclining chair and all the way forward on the starboard side is a large dinette with seating and a beautiful teak table. The entire floor is Amtico teak and holly and all of the cabinets and walls are high gloss teak. The salon is elegant and gorgeous. At the extreme forward end of the salon is a teak cabinet which houses a pull out 40 inch flat screen TV.

Down three steps on the port side is the mid level galley with spacious counter space and storage. There is a stand up refrigerator with separate freezer, a microwave/convection oven and a two burner cooktop. the flooring is teak and holly.
