“OPTIMIST” is a 2013 two stateroom sport yacht design with Zeus pods and Cummins power. She is fast, economical, and extremely well built and laid out. Her large aft cockpit area is very comfortable for a large party with full beam aft sofa lounge area and large L shape settee. The entire cockpit area is teak decked with entertainment wet bar, ice maker, and garage style center console dingy storage. At the push of a couple buttons the transom door lifts hydraulically to reveal the center a yacht tender and descending swim platform ideal for launching and recovering the dingy or simply enjoying swimming and diving activities with simple access back to the boat.

Zeus pods provide joystick control of engines and transmissions allowing a novice to operate this vessel like a pro. The pods provide excellent economy and performance and propel this vessel to speeds in excess of 30 knots with minimal sound levels and very low gallon per hour fuel consumption.

The main salon is on deck as is the galley and helm station providing an ideal socializing area. The hardtop roof features a very large electrically activated sunroof that when open provides fantastic fresh air without the wind or noise common on express models. The salon and galley are fitted with factory glass and stem ware, plates, and dishes, as well as high gloss cherry woods and custom designed interior fabrics and upholstery.

Below deck the lower salon is arranged with a sofa that converts to two bunks. There is a TV built into the wall that will serve both the lower salon and forward master stateroom. The master cabin is ensuite with head and shower. The VIP stateroom is mid ship with a queen berth as well as a single third sleeping position. There are berths for seven! The guest head is in the companionway and serves both guest sleeping areas as well as day head uses.

Embarking on the development of an entirely new style of boat is one of the most challenging and exciting projects we have undertaken in recent times. The inspiration for our Sport Yacht series, came from recognizing the changing values and lifestyles not just of boat owners, but people everywhere – changes that are reflected in such domains as contemporary architecture, interior design and the styling of prestige cars. Although luxury is as desirable as ever, the trend globally is towards less formality. In so many areas of life, easy living and convenience have taken the place of stuffy traditions, unnecessary embellishments, and sometimes ostentatious and impractical features. The 5000 Sport Yacht. The flow between the cockpit and the saloon that so many found so refreshing is even more inspiring on this 50’ model. It brings the inside outside like never before – and the saloon is brighter and lighter than ever. The ease with which you can cater to a large party and the standard of comfort your guests can enjoy is magnificent. Australians are masters of informal entertaining. For us it is all very relaxed, even though our catering is often lavish and of superb quality – so it is only fitting that it should be a vessel with an Australian heritage that brings these principles to life on the water. For your entertainment, we proudly present a profile of the 5000 Sport Yacht.

•Ensure effortless entertaining, a wet bar with a stainless steel fridge-freezer and (optional) S/S icemaker, complement the generous seating and electric BBQ.

•Escape the heat in the luxurious six-seater leather lounge in the reverse cycle air-conditioned room.

•Luxuries include the Bose Lifestyle system, LCD TV, cocktail cabinet, and folding table.

•Serve both the saloon and cockpit with ease, from the aft galley.

•One of the greatest pleasures is sitting at the helm.

•The electrically adjustable helm chair, the ergonomically designed console, and the vast, curved windscreen all enhance the moment.
