Accommodations

Four steps down from the main salon and galley level brings us to the superbly laid out lower accommodations. The three state room two head arrangement is set up to sleep 8 comfortably.

Salon

Entering the salon, the layout looks familiar, but the space seems much larger than normal thanks to her beam. The interior décor is classic CABO and she has the optional teak and holly sole in the salon and galley along with solid teak satin finished cabinetry. There is a large L-shaped sofa with storage underneath it to port with a Hi/Lo table.

Galley and Dinette

Starboard forward is a large dinette with flat screen TV on forward bulkhead. Port side forward on the main deck is the galley. It has everything a shipboard gourmet could require. Galley equipment and features include:

  • Large Corian countertops with a raised sea edge
  • Sub zero under counter refrigerator and freezer drawers (2 of each)
  • Massive storage compartment under galley sole
  • Superb cabinet space and storage
  • 4 burner electric cook top
  • Twin basin stainless steel sinks, one small with garbage disposal, one oversized
  • Sharp microwave convection oven

At the top of the stairs before descending below, there are two cabinets, one on either side with huge storage compartments.

Master Stateroom

To port amidships is the master state room. She has a walk around queen berth with night stands on either side. The bed also flips up to reveal yet another large storage area. Smaller drawers, cabinets and a hanging locker round out the master stateroom storage capabilities. She has an ensuite head with Corian countertop and sole, Vaccu-flush marine toilet and large stall shower. The vanity over the sink has unusually deep shelving worthy of mention. Directly across from the master in the hallway is the over/under stainless steel washer and dryer.

Guest Stateroom

Immediately to starboard at the base of the stairs is a guest state room. It has one large athwartships berth capable of sleeping two adults. It also has an elevated berth fore and aft for a third person with 2 large storage cabinets underneath.

Guest Head

Walking forward in the companionway to Starboard is a door to a second full head. This head also has private access from the forward state room.

Forward Stateroom

In the forepeak of the vessel is the third state room. It is smartly laid out for maximum berths and maximum comfort. There are two elevated single berths in a V shape with a third larger berth to port. Under the starboard bunk are two large teak cabinets with deep shelving. A door for private access to the second head is starboard aft.

Bridge

Bridge access is from mezzanine to starboard is via an aluminum ladder with teak steps. The bridge is huge with seating forward, port and starboard of the helm. In keeping with the rest of the vessel there is a massive amount of storage under the bench seating, console and forward brow. Behind the helm there are two teak captain’s chairs. Whether sitting or standing, the visibility is great and there is a full complement of shipboard electronics.

  • (3) Garmin multifunction displays for chart plotter, radar and sonar. (A fourth Garmin unit is down on the mezzanine)
  • CCTV system controls with 3 engine room cameras, 2 salon cameras and a cockpit camera
  • Gyro stabilizers controls
  • (2) CAT multi function gauges
  • Side power bow thruster
  • (2) ICOM VHF radios
  • Simrad auto pilot
  • Furuno RD 30 for speed, temp and depth
  • CH500 Sonar
  • Clarion stereo with JL Audio speakers in cockpit and on the bridge
  • Eskimo ice chipper controls
  • Mia Epoch electric teaser reels

Engine Room

On the mezzanine there is a centerline hatch that lifts up for engine room access. You climb down a small ladder over the aft on center mounted SEA KEEPER GYRO. Outboard aft on both sides are oversized 21.5 KW ONAN Gensets. These size generators are more commonly found on much larger yachts. Her C 18 CAT engines are well maintained. There is plenty of room to walk around the front to the outboard sides for service. Additional engine room highlights include:

  • Overhead rod storage
  • Brownies dive compressor
  • (2) Racor fuel filters per engine
  • Fuel priming system
  • Oil change system
  • Optional engine room RPM gauges
  • Emergency water evacuation valve plumbed off starboard engine
  • Fire suppression system

Cockpit

The cockpit on PAPAS HAVEN is huge, thanks in part to her 17’9” beam. Her factory mezzanine seating keeps you in the middle of all the action. Port side by the mezzanine is a Garmin multi-function display to watch the fishfinder or follow the chart while underway. On the stern is a swim platform with dive ladder and an oversized tuna door. Custom teak covering boards and teak mezzanine look sharp. There is a transom livewell with bait tank window. She has twin macerated in deck fish boxes. The starboard box is plumbed for the Eskimo ice chipper and the port has freezer plates. Starboard forward in the cockpit are the cockpit controls, ladder to the bridge and salon entrance door.
