Broker's Remarks

This is a very special boat. I’ve been around this boat since she was delivered new and she has always been very well cared for by her meticulous owners. A true rare find in today’s market.

I asked the current owners (who just completed the Great Loop) to let me know what the love about “Dog House”. If felt this would be important to share with prospective buyers.

  1. THE LOOK……it’s a sexy boat. We get sooooo many compliments about Dog House and the blue hull color. It really stands out.
  2. The excellent visibility from the lower helm. We do 95% of our docking from the lower helm. The Captain can see 360* all around. It feels like the outside is inside.
  3. We like the 3 skylights over the lower helm area. It’s always bright even on a cloudy day.
  4. We love having a flybridge with a helm. On a beautiful day….we drive from up top….sometimes with the bimini up and sometimes down.
  5. We like having 2 Diesel engines. It’s nice knowing there is a “backup”.
  6. We like the fact the boat will go fast if we need but we enjoy cruising along at 7 knots. (This is a Fast trawler)
  7. We like the “European style” design. It is a minimalist design with very sleek lines.
  8. There is room for side-by-side sitting at the lower helm and upper helm. It’s wonderful when we can sit side by side and have two people checking for markers, crab pots, monitoring radar, AIS, watching the instruments, etc.
  9. It’s very convenient and easy to walk around the outside of the boat. This allows the person handling lines and fenders to make quick changes if necessary.
  10. Access to both engines and generator is real good. Mechanics love this. Easy to work on.
  11. It’s awesome having bow and stern thrusters.
  12. For a boat this size, it’s great to have 3 separate seating areas. (The main salon inside. Outside…..the aft deck and upper helm.
  13. We like having the ability to lower the mast and make it under more lower bridges……like in downtown Chicago.
  14. I really like having a side door at the lower helm. If the Captain needs to hop outside quickly….it can be done. It’s nice to have this when docking or in a locking situation.
  15. The ice marker has been fun to have.
