2002 Pursuit 3800 Express - The current owner has enjoyed Sunbeam for nearly 8 years during which time the boat has been well maintained and has received a number of updates. Sunbeam has been kept in dry storage out of the harsh Florida elements. The engines are flushed each time before returning to storage.
In 2016, all the exterior upholstery was redone. In August 2022, the engines received 1000-hour service, including the cooling system. The starboard aftercooler was replaced as well as filters, belts, clamps etc. The generator was also serviced. The boat was then sea trialed with Cummins techs. If you keep her in warmer climates, you will appreciate her dedicated helm air conditioning! Of course, the system is reverse cycle so you can keep warm in cooler climes. In August 2022, the air conditioning system was descaled and serviced and the raw water pump was replaced.
In September 2022, Sunbeam endured Hurricane Ian. Sunbeam was dry stored at Snook Bite Marina. During the hurricane, when the water rose, the vessel was floated off its rack and drifted around the storage barn. A surveyor was hired to inspect and determine damage to the vessel. There was no structural damage; no hull or cockpit water intrusion occurred. Deficiencies found in the survey have been remedied. She has new props and cutlass bearings and bottom paint and is again stored in the dry barn at Snook Bite. All factory and manufacturer manuals are on board. She is ready for your inspection.
The entryway has fiberglass steps with solid teak treads, which are hinged for access to breakers and additional stowage compartments. Forward of the galley to starboard is the L-shaped dinette and hi-low table. To port is the settee with the back rest that raises for an upper and lower berth.
The Helm deck lifts with electric actuator to provide easy access to the engine room; there is also an engine day hatch. The area is cooled by a dedicated AC unit.
In 2016 all upholstery was redone including coaming bolsters.
Bottom Paint renewed July 2023. New cutlass bearings, new zincs and new props July 2023.
Completed Cummins 1000 hour service August 2022, including cooling system. One aftercooler replaced along with filters, belts, clamps, etc. The generator was also serviced at this time. Upon completion on August 29 2022, the boat was sea trialed with factory mechanic. The vessel was in storage and in the yard since then. Just returned to dry storage July 2023 after completion of repairs resulting from Hurricane Ian September 2022.
