2002 Pursuit 3800 Express - The current owner has enjoyed Sunbeam for nearly 8 years during which time the boat has been well maintained and has received a number of updates. Sunbeam has been kept in dry storage out of the harsh Florida elements. The engines are flushed each time before returning to storage.

In 2016, all the exterior upholstery was redone. In August 2022, the engines received 1000-hour service, including the cooling system. The starboard aftercooler was replaced as well as filters, belts, clamps etc. The generator was also serviced. The boat was then sea trialed with Cummins techs. If you keep her in warmer climates, you will appreciate her dedicated helm air conditioning! Of course, the system is reverse cycle so you can keep warm in cooler climes. In August 2022, the air conditioning system was descaled and serviced and the raw water pump was replaced.

In September 2022, Sunbeam endured Hurricane Ian. Sunbeam was dry stored at Snook Bite Marina. During the hurricane, when the water rose, the vessel was floated off its rack and drifted around the storage barn. A surveyor was hired to inspect and determine damage to the vessel. There was no structural damage; no hull or cockpit water intrusion occurred. Deficiencies found in the survey have been remedied. She has new props and cutlass bearings and bottom paint and is again stored in the dry barn at Snook Bite. All factory and manufacturer manuals are on board. She is ready for your inspection.

    Overview

    • Heavily built on a modified-V hull with a wide 14'2" beam and a solid fiberglass bottom, the cockpit dimensions of the 3800 rival those of a larger boat. There is ample room for entertaining and water activities. A few steps forward to the helm deck, you will find generous guest seating to port and a helm console with double wide power helm seat. The helm area has a hardtop plus dedicated helm air. The entire helm deck can be raised at the push of a button for easy access to the engines.
    • Cabin appointments include beautiful teak and holly soles, teak cabinets and trim, solid surface countertops and great storage. Sunbeam has a highly desirable layout with additional berths, sleeping for six. The L-shaped galley is to starboard with a full measure of appliances. Opposite to port is a sofa and pullman that acts as a second stateroom. The L- shaped sofa and table forward of the galley, with two removable stools, also converts to sleep two. The master berth is forward with a queen-sized pedestal bed, plenty of storage and curtain for privacy. The head to port, with round acrylic shower enclosure stall shower, is accessed from the salon.
