The GB60 represents the best from the past blended with the future. The legendary build quality by Grand Banks has been re-imagined with new, state of the art technology, to give her owners a truly unique vessel. “Emily Marie” is the finest example in existence and is in “As New” condition with no expense spared in the build or maintenance. The ride quality and performance of this yacht is simply hard to adequately describe. The GB60’s proprietary V-warp hull ensures she has the softest ride imaginable in all conditions. Inspired by the hull designs of ocean racing yachts, the V-Warp is the lightest, strongest, and fastest hull on any long-distance cruiser in this size. She is stable, highly maneuverable, and cuts effortlessly thru waves instead of climbing over them. She runs quiet and fast with a cruise speed around 26kts and a range of nearly 700 nm at 22 kts.
Her 60’ size makes her the perfect fit for the seasoned owner operator or a family new to boating. But make no mistake, the GB60 is a true 60-footer and then some, measuring 66’10’ overall. “Emily Marie” is equipped with the finest electronics suite available by Garmin for the most user-friendly navigational experience possible. She has joystick and thruster controls at the Flybridge, Helm and a 3rd control station on the aft deck to make docking a breeze. “Emily Marie” features a smart layout with the Owners stateroom amidships with a private head and separate closet/dresser arrangement. It has plenty of natural light and exquisite fit and finish with expertly done teak joinery and beautiful soft goods. The VIP stateroom is forward featuring a centerline queen with plenty of storage and beautiful woodwork. The starboard guest stateroom features a convenient crossover single berth arrangement and accommodates the washer and vented dryer. The VIP and Stbd cabin share a head with separate stall shower.
The mechanicals on “Emily Marie” show this owners experience and attention to every detail. The SeaKeeper Stabilizer was increased in size from an SK9 to an SK16 for rock solid stabilization at rest and the extended warranty is transferrable. The 21.5 KW sound shielded generator was moved into the finished lazarette area under the aft deck to increase space in the engine room. That same area was also fitted with a custom Eskimo ice making system that discharges into a Frigid Rigid insulated box. The Engines are upgraded Cat C12.9 producing 1000 hp each and have extended warranty. Other engine room and mechanical features include a twin disc EJS system with Hydraulic Bow thruster, stern thruster, joysticks, windlass & dynamic positioning system. There are comfortable full sized walk around side decks from stem to stern and oversized anchoring tackle forward. The aft cockpit features in deck storage on both starboard and port sides with access to the finished lazarette and engine room at center.
