The Hudson Power Cats HPC 48 is perhaps the best power catamaran currently in production. She was designed by Bill Dixon Yacht Design, and built by Hudson yachts, one of the most respected multihull manufactures in the world. Hudson’s aesthetics, fit & finish are a step above the other “Production” power cats.

As you enter through the extra large stainless steel doorway into the salon, you are first made ware of the quality of the Hudson. The substantial stainless door slides almost effortlessly revealing a much larger salon than you would expect to see on a 48’ yacht. These triple doors open into each other and when the 4th hinged pane of glass to the port side is opened, the salon and cockpit are turned into one space.
The second thing you notice is the rich warmth of her real teak wood veneers and the craftsmanship of her solid teak furniture perfectly match with the solid Avonite countertops and cabinets with glass features.
With a large L-Shaped seating area to starboard with an expanding table, and another sofa to port, you will have ample space for all of your family and guests for entertaining, and meals if you decide.
The forward end of the salon features a highly functional Bar that is elegantly finished with more Teak, Glass, & Avonite. This bar provides everything you need to entertain with sink, icemaker, and dedicated glass storage. This bar also houses all of the electrical breaker panels and access to other components behind the gorgeous teak cabinetry.
To port there is also a large 40” LCD TV that rises on a lift behind the sofa that is integrated into the Fusion Apollo system that powers a Bose Acoustimass 5 speaker system, perfect for movie night or the big game.
The Hudson HPC48’s galley is example of a well planned out galley with everything you need within reach and plenty of storage. One of the cleverest features is the air conditioning vent built into the top of the galley cabinetry. With triple refrigerators, there is ample cold strorage. There is also a bonus “Utility Space” accessed through an opening hatch in galley floor with gas strut that would be the perfect space to customize for your needs. It is ideal for a dishwasher, deep freezer, storage cabinets, or work shop.

This is perhaps the Hudson HPC48’s most attractive feature. The concept of the “Full-Beam” master stateroom executed on the extended beam that the catamaran hull provides for an opulent owner’s accommodation usually only found on a much larger yacht.
Bathed in natural light from the large windows above and through the large windows in both hulls, the space seems even larger than it is.
As you walk in through the private entry, you are met with the large forward facing windows above the headboard of the huge almost king sized bed. To starboard you see the same highly finished rich teak cabinetry that leads you down into the master bathroom in the hull of the catamaran.
Tile floors, high-end fixtures and top quality abound in this amazing space with a large shower and separate toilet compartment.
To port you step down into the dressing area with a walk in closet forward and a desk/vanity with seating and ample cabinets for storage throughout.

The VIP Stateroom is located to port as you come down the gradual companionway steps. Aft is the private doorway into a large cabin with a large queen sized island bed. There is a ton of natural light from the skylight window in the ceiling as well as the large windows in the hulls.
Outboard of the entrance is a large hanging locker with a clever door activated LED strip light built into the stainless hanging rod. This is lined with a real cedar veneer making it clear that this is more than a standard specification.

The companionway to port leads down to a landing that turns aft to the private entrance into the guest cabin. The same attention to details are evident throughout. Two comfortable singe berths with a cabinet between them with a solid surface counter top make the perfect accommodation for guests lucky enough to be invited along. At the forward end of this spacious cabin is the en suite head and shower with the same high-end fixtures as the others.
