The Viking Yachts 52 Open is the ideal fishing and cruising platform. Versatile from bow to stern, it is designed for the owner who enjoys as much time behind the wheel as taking charge in the cockpit.
To start with, it is no slouch when it comes to performance. The Viking 52 Open Yacht has fine, slightly convex sections forward and a 12-degree deadrise at the transom. Just like the other new generation Vikings, trim tabs (3 total) are used as the propeller pockets to divide the transom. Each tab operates independently to allow the Captain more control. The outboard tabs will handle most trim issues, but if more to muscle is needed to plow through a head sea, the center tabs are available.
Accommodations below are surprisingly generous thanks to the boat’s 17 ft. 6 in. beam providing a master stateroom forward with a walk around queen-size bed, along with a private head and shower. Two additional staterooms are served by the second head. A combination salon and galley complete the interior plan with comfort and room to spare. The 142 square-foot cockpit boasts twin mezzanine seating with built-in freezer and stowage space, engine room access, a step box cooler, tackle stowage, recessed in-deck fish boxes and a walk-through transom door with lift gate.
The Viking 52 Open Yacht should satisfy even the most critical of anglers who have come to expect great things from Vikings "form follows function" design ideology that's customary among tournament boats.

American luxury sportfishing and cruising motoryacht builder Viking Yacht Company was founded in 1964. Today, this family-owned and -operated yacht company is a world leader in semi-custom fiberglass yacht production with over 4,000 boats delivered. To the passionate owners of these yachts, the word “Viking” is synonymous with “excellence”.
Viking’s 52 Open is built on the same proven offshore hull as its popular 52 Convertible with its fine entry, 12-degree transom deadrise, and molded strakes for improved lift. But from the waterline up, this sporty motoryacht is built to serve as a platform for a variety of activities, including fishing, diving, cruising, and entertaining. Unlike Viking’s Convertible series boats, the helm on the 52 Open is located on the main deck behind a large, wraparound windshield. It offers easy access to the 142-square-foot cockpit, with its mezzanine seating, as well as to the interior accommodations. Below, the 17’6’ beam provides ample volume fora spacious salon with U-shaped settee and full galley. Forward are the staterooms and two heads, including a master stateroom with queen-size berth and en suite head. If you appreciate the outdoors but also want the comforts and amenities of a luxury cruiser, this is the model for you.
