Spearheading the Viking Yacht Company’s return to the motor yacht world in 2014, the Viking 75 Motor Yacht raised the bar the moment the first hull hit the water, ushering in a brand new era of American made motor yachts for the discriminating buyer who wants to own the perfect blend of rugged sea keeping abilities, performance and build quality without the need to compromise.
Spending decades catering to the toughest crowd in the boating world, Viking has continuously led the way in the highly competitive arena of tournament sport fishing and has incorporated this same toughness and performance into every aspect of this exciting new lineup, which includes the 82 CPMY.
The moment you board from the hydraulic swim platform covered in solid teak planking, you are standing on one of the many details that set the Viking 75 apart from the typical motor yacht. A large open aft deck welcomes you to beautiful views and comforts with air-conditioned backed U-shaped seating and an oversized high gloss teak table that is shaded by the upper deck overhang and fully retractable sunshade awning. Full walkaround decks make going forward to enjoy the spacious and elegant outdoor seating area on the foredeck a pleasure.
The main salon area has a light, open floorplan design with a centralized galley in either the open country kitchen configuration and counter seating or the more traditional plan with a formal dining table with a bulkhead separating it from the main salon. Finely finished teak cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances and furnishings add true comfort and luxury for the long-range cruiser. Interior access to the bridge is available via a stainless steel staircase located in the salon.
Everyone onboard can enjoy a great night’s sleep in spacious, beautifully appointed cabins including entertainment centers, luxury cabinetry, and high-quality innerspring mattresses. A full-beam master stateroom with an artisan-crafted vanity desk and loveseat accent the large walk-around bed. The roomy head with a large stand-up shower and adjacent walk-in closet is located aft and has added benefit of providing separation from the engine room. The four well-appointed staterooms all have private head access.
Panoramic views from the top deck on the Viking 75 Motor Yacht are nothing less than spectacular. Access to the top deck can be gained via the outside aft deck or by use of the spiral staircase located in the salon. Once topside, owners and their guests can relax on the aft deck patio or lounge inside the enclosed bridge. Replicating all the comforts of a second salon to accompany the impressive helm station, this amazing space is appointed with premium sofa seating, a full entertainment center, and dedicated drawer refrigeration.
The crew quarters, with private access, are separated by the engine room. Once you enter through the watertight bulkhead door and step into the engine room, you can instantly see why Viking is so famous for its attention to detail. Clean surfaces with great headroom provide access to the engines and mechanical equipment with ease, and the awlgrip painted surfaces make keeping it showroom clean much easier.
Although the typical motor yacht of this size would cruise at 24 Knots, the 75 Motor Yacht wouldn’t be a true Viking if it weren’t built to be the best in class performance. This 150,000-pound blue water handling, deep V-hull with a substantial range to cruise at 30 Knots, has been equipped with all the power options needed.
