When you think of boat-inspired drinks, a few things come to mind: refreshing, summery, fruit-infused spirits that accentuate your taste buds. Start by muddling your fruit and sugar, and then add in your liquid ingredients. Let it sit, or serve right away over the ice; for some added flair, top with soda water and extra fruit.

    Ingredients (pitcher recipe)

    • 3-tablespoons sugar
    • 1-orange, cut into chunks
    • 1 1/4 cups mixed berries, fresh or frozen
    • 1-750-ml bottle red wine
    • 1/3 cup brandy
    • 3/4 cup orange juice
    • fruit for garnish (optional)
    • Soda water (optional)
