2019 Recap | Galati Yacht Sales Year-In-Review

We are very excited for 2020 since it marks Galati Yacht Sales 50^th Anniversary. As we look forward to celebrating with customers, employees, and industry partners this year, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give 2019 a proper send-off.

At the close of the year, GYS once again surpassed our goal of selling more than a boat a day with the final number of boats sold surpassing more than 400! The boating market remains strong and more first-timers are joining the ranks.

Besides many happy yacht owners, Team Galati excelled in other ways:

• Sold more new Viking Yachts than any other dealer
• Received the Prestige Yachts Dealer of the Year Award
• Recognized by Boating Industry Magazine as a Hall of Fame Dealer
• Certified Professional Yacht Brokers Honored Carmine Galati with the Chairman’s Award
• Sent sales specialists to industry training at Viking Yachts in NJ, Prestige Yachts in France, Princess Yachts in England, Cruisers Yachts in Wisconsin, and Maritimo Yachts in Australia
• Became a Valhalla Boatworks dealer and sold the first Valhalla in September
• Installed an 85 metric ton Marine Travelift at the AMI Service Center
• Launched the Galati G120 Signature Series line in partnership with Hargrave Custom Yachts
• The G120 Signature Series was named as a Finalist for Best in Show at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show
• Spearheaded the Texas Marine Industry Jobs Bill
• Eleven sales professionals earned the Certified Professional Yacht Broker accreditation, and now GYS certified more sales professionals than any other firm in the past two years
• Michael C Galati was recognized by Boating Industry as one of the top 40 under 40 leaders in the marine industry
