The Viking 62 Convertible offers owners both flexibility and convenience with a layout which is ideal for tournament fishing and cruising with family and friends. The profile of this model makes a powerful statement with its unbroken sheer sweeps from bow to stern. However, this boat is beautiful and spacious inside and out.
The Viking 62 offers four staterooms and the master suite has a walkaround king size and flanking tables. Other features include maple-lined hanging lockers, a sculpted vanity with a custom granite countertop and satin nickel finish. A credenza and a 32-inch flat screen TV make for great entertaining. The en-suite head has custom treatment options including a one-piece full-length glass shower door.
The guestroom forward features a queen bed and private head with shower. Optional crossover berths are also available for the stateroom. Two port staterooms provide comfortable accommodations. Upper and lower berths provided in the forward stateroom, and the aft stateroom has side-by-side berths. Staterooms are separated by a third head with shower and a laundry center to provide additional privacy.
Like all the latest Viking Yacht models, the flybridge offers a center console helm station with three pedestal seats and ladder back, port and starboard and forward lounge seating. Beneath the seats, ample storage, a freezer and chill box can be found for easy access to drinks.
The cockpit on the Viking 62 also offers an ingenious design made to optimize the owners fishing experience. On the upper level, a mezzanine is available to keep guests cool and dry due to the flybridge overhang. This design allows guests to steer clear of the crew working below in the lower cockpit.
The lower level cockpit has a fresh and raw-water down systems, flush rod holders, a transom fish box and side lockers for the tag and stick and gaff storage. Here owners will also find a quick disconnect fitting for oil changes for the transmissions, engine, and generator. Some other handy features that come standard include an in-deck insulated fish and storage boxes and stereo speakers. The lazarette is set up for the installation of a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer at the factory if desired at a later time.
This spacious, elegant yacht does not skimp when it comes to power and performance. The boat is designed to reduce weight and increase overall physical properties with carbon fiber and knitted fiberglass laminate materials. The interior stateroom offers a honeycomb storage coring and hanging locker doors also to reduce weight. Other features include engine cooling water pickups, five-bladed wheels to minimize noise and provide better traction, refined propeller pocket to enhance flow and modified design to struts and rudders that add efficiency and deliver a top speed more than 42 knots with a pair of Caterpillar C32-A engines rated at 1,925 mph.
This boat is made for speed, efficiency, fun and adventure and whether the owner is looking or a sportfishing boat or a cruiser—or both—the Viking 62 comes through.
