The Viking 58 Convertible is designed to leave all other similar models in the dust. This vessel is indeed a champion when it comes to tournament models in its class. The Viking 58 has an attractive interior and spacious layout. The salon is ideal for hosting gatherings and relaxing and entertaining while enjoying air-conditioned comfort. The L-shaped lounge has storage beneath with a home theater featuring a flat screen HD TV and a premium stereo system. A complementing cocktail table is also a nice feature that adds to comfort while entertaining guests.
The galley is across the starboard side dinette and comfortably seats four adults and features engineered stone counters, a two-stool bar area, and Amtico flooring. Sub-zero refrigerator/freezer units housed under the countertop with high gloss teak cabinetry and a four-burner cooktop stove are just a few of the standard amenities in the galley.
The master and forward staterooms each have queen-sized berths with custom innerspring mattresses. The forward cabin also offers crossover berths. The rooms also offer private access to the heads which features built-in molded seats and a fiberglass shower stall. The port stateroom has side-by-side berths and a large hanging locker. A washer and dryer and linen locker located in the companionway offer convenience when it’s time to do laundry.
You won’t find a more spacious cockpit on any other boat in the Viking 58’s class. It measures an incredible 165 square feet and offers the owner a true tournament experience. Some other features include rocket launcher or table installation, in deck starboard fish box and an optional live well. The walkthrough transom door with lift gate provides both comfort and balance for those aboard.
The Viking 58 is not only beautiful and spacious but also powerful. Optional packages are available for power. Fitted with an optional pair of MTU V10 2000 M96L engines at 1,600 mhp each gives this boat an expected top speed of up to 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots.
The engine room is home to many mechanical systems adding superior performance and durability to the vessels, including engine room ventilation, fire suppression, and oil change systems. Batteries are mounted in custom fiberglass boxes and in the engine room, owners also find an Onan 21.5 kW E-QD series genset and a pair of battery chargers. A highly durable urethane, Snow White Awlgrip, coats the engine room, lazarette, forward bilge, and anchor locker to provide excellent visibility and easy maintenance.
This boat is second to none when it comes to performance, engineering and interior accommodations and can certainly compete with larger yachts, even those into the 60-plus foot range.
