Viking’s impressive 52 Sport Tower is an impressive 53’ 2” and continues to rule as one of the world’s most beautiful and most powerful sport luxury yachts. For Viking, it is all about the design and the engineering.
For the 52 ST, it all begins with the hull and the deck designs. The sleekness is due to a twelve-degree transom deadrise with molded stakes for efficacy and a smooth ride through even the most turbulent of waters. The hull itself infused with high tech resin and fiberglass is a state-of-the-art hybrid design that allows the 52ST to stand above all others in its class.
The enclosed flybridge offers the absolute latest in technology, comfort, space, and luxury. There are luxuriously upholstered twin captain’s chairs along with a sofa and a glass-enclosed cockpit that offers 360-degree views. The entire cockpit is raised and measures a sleek and comfortable 142 square feet and perfectly designed for the experienced crew. It is all DC power-assisted steering that is entirely hydraulic, and the state-of-the-art stainless-steel rudders allow for precision steering found nowhere else in the world.
There is a liftgate transom door that connects the cockpit with the interior of the vessel. The luxuriously appointed interior is a combination of galley and salon that flows freely. The marble and the hardwoods gleam and offer that touch of class that Viking is known for throughout the yachting world. There are three beautifully designed and comfortable staterooms including a full beam master. The full beam is 17’ 6” and features a queen-sized bed as well as a private bathroom and shower. The other two staterooms also have a separate bath and shower facility. Viking also offers an additional design option with the 52 ST in that the interior layout can consist of two larger staterooms each served by its bath.
The Viking 52 ST powered by two MAN V10 1000 CRM, 1,000 mhp common rail diesel engines that have been finely tuned and honed. The fuel tank holds 1,202 gallons so there is nowhere the sleek and powerful 52 ST cannot go. The 52ST has a top speed at around 40 knots and can comfortably cruise at about 30-35 knots out in the open sea with the ease of joystick control from the cockpit.
