Not to mention, Lurssen Yachts has delivered 11 out of the 20 largest yachts in the world, built within the last 20 years, something no other shipyard has done. Lurssen Yachts specializes in the design and manufacture of luxury superyachts, as well as naval and coastguard vessels. The new-build operations are accompanied by extensive after-sales services, including repair, refit, maintenance and global logistics support.

History of Lurssen Yachts
Dating back to 1875, after training as a boat builder, Friedrich Lürßen starts his boatbuilding workshop in Aumund, near Bremen, Germany. The first manufactured boat possessed originality and quality, which allowed his business to thrive. Lürssen initially only started out building racing rowboats for Bremen oarsmen, but orders soon came in from all over Germany. In 1886, Lurssen built their first motorboat, the 6-meter REMS. With rising success, the yard expanded to a shoreline site in Bremen-Vegesack, Germany, where they would have direct access to open water. The second-generation Lurssen family proved valuable as they combined shipbuilding engineering and trusted skill with new technical expertise, improving on past methods. To this day, this approach has been passed down throughout the generations and remains the essence of Lurssen’s unique quality and innovative spirit.

Today, Lurssen Yachts has earned its reputation worldwide for its high-quality custom superyachts. Their combination of leading innovation, high-quality artistry, their dedicated workforce (98% of Lürssen employees are skilled and qualified professionals), discretion, and their close relationship with clients, are highly valued by its customers and the yachting industry.
