Hydra-Sports Yachts (known formerly as Hydra-Sports Custom Boats) is a premium builder of luxurious and durable large center console sportfishing yachts available under four model names – Speciale, Siesta, Sueños and Estrella.
History
From its test center in Islamorada, Florida, and manufacturing facilities in Venore, Tennessee, Hydra-Sports has established a reputation for building some of the world’s largest center console boats, which range from 49 to 65 feet.
Design
The company launched the 53-foot Sueños as the “world’s largest center console” several years ago. However, in 2018, Hydra-Sports stretched the record to 65 feet with the introduction of the Estrella. Additional luxury center console yachts from Hydra-Sports include the Siesta, a 42-foot center console offering impeccable high-performance and handling, and the Speciale, a 38-footer equipped with all a wide assortment of standard features and creature comforts, as well as unlimited range for serious anglers. These center consoles are designed for performance with multi-outboard power from triple installations (the Speciale) to quintuplet engines from a number of manufacturers including Seven Marine (the Estrella).
Construction
In early 2018, the builder relaunched its brand as Hydra-Sports Yachts as part of a five-year strategic plan. “We’ve taken every aspect of our product to the next level. In places and in ways the discriminating custom boat buyers will appreciate when stepping aboard,” CEO Elias De La Torrell said in a statement.
