Cape Horn Yachts for Sale
Cape Horn is proud to offer durable, hand-built fishing boats fit for tournament and recreation. Their boats are known for “bulletproof” construction and minimal distraction, being loaded only with the most useful features for fishing enthusiasts. Boaters like the build quality of Cape Horn. There are many features which make boating, cleanup, and fishing more enjoyable for an owner.
Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, Chris and Bob Fabbro began designing their no-nonsense boats together in their garage 30 years ago. The Cape Horn 16 Classic was their first design, a simple craft made to serve the needs of fishermen and made to bring families together. A driving philosophy was to focus on simplicity, and this no-frills approach leads to durability and reliability that is associated with the brand. Still, simply does not mean that there isn't a lot of attention paid to every detail, with functionality the main intent.
Owners appreciate the soft entry, yacht-grade hardware, a dry ride with easy cleanup and sure footing. The deck is self-bailing on a Cape Horn, and it does not stay wet for long. After a trip, owners can look forward to the ease of maintenance: no-wax, gel-coated decks let you save time with a simple rinse. As for the woodless hulls, every void is pressure-filled using closed-cell foam. Quality hull construction lies beneath the streamlined fit and finishes, resulting in a combination that lets owners focus on fishing without worrying about the inconvenience. A feature common to their lineup is a pair of very large live wells, as well as a fully insulated fish box. Digital throttle controls aid with performance and fuel economy to maximize what owners get out of their boat. Cape Horn’s pragmatic approach to design means these vessels are intended to travel hundreds of miles on a single outing.
Their goal is to make boats to allow you to catch THAT ONE, the fish you haven’t reeled in yet. The number of boats produced is purposely kept low to permit the highest attention to detail possible, and each boat is individually inspected by company president Chris Fabbro. These are easily some of the strongest fishing boats in the industry. They presently offer nine models, from the smallest 23 Cape Bay up to the 36XS.
