Kicking off June 3rd at the Golden Nugget Casino & Hotel is the 2024 Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic sportfishing tournament. While Billfish is the primary focus at the MCGBC, other gamefish are also weighed for cash and prizes. The tournament is a non-profit organization providing thousands of dollars and donations to charities as well as awarding cash prizes in excess of 1 million dollars for over 15 years. Not to mention, the tournament is home to the largest Blue Marlin ever weighed in the Gulf of Mexico at 1054.6 pounds.
