Viking 76 Convertible Yacht Description
As a newcomer in the Viking lineup the 76 Convertible has a long tradition and high expectations to live up to. The Viking team took many of the design elements of the 82 Convertible and some new ideas and created a winner in the 76 Convertible.
An aggressive waterline sweeps along the 76, a flush foredeck suggests a fishing design and the Viking signature black metallic wraparound mask completes the picture of elegance. An air-conditioner provides individual thermostats to both the staterooms and the salon. There are five staterooms and two heads, with a beautiful teak salon for guests to relax in style.
On the business end, the Viking 76 Yacht is an amazing fishing command ship. A flying bridge allows superior visibility, outfit with an array of electronic aids, a center console helm and three teak pedestal mounted seats. The electronic panels are covered with clear acrylic fronts which protects them from water and there is also a dedicated battery system for the bridge. There are plenty of bait boxes, freezers and cleverly hidden storage compartments throughout the yacht, providing maximum utility for anglers and maximum luxury for cruisers.
Engineered to ride comfortably, the hull is like many of the newer Vikings made with a convex deadrise shape, which increases lift and makes going through rough seas easier. Much care has been taken in the design to reduce weight by incorporating end grain balsa whenever possible, a material which provides strength and is light-weight allowing better overall performance.
The Viking 76 Convertible is destined to be another in a long line of beautifully designed yachts. As a pleasure boat she will not disappoint and as a fishing platform she is ready for business. Whether it is the luxurious salon and 50-inch television - offering a chance to get away from perhaps a hectic office, or it is the uninterrupted view from the flying bridge allowing sunsets or blue fins to appear on the horizon, the Viking 76 has a lot to offer.
