Yacht to be unveiled at the company's annual dealer meeting.
OCONTO, Wis. (August 10, 2012) – Cruisers Yachts, Wisconsin's premier manufacturer of luxury yachts, announced a private unveiling of the 45 Cantius will take place at its 2013 annual international dealer meeting in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., held July 30 to Aug. 1, 2012, followed by a public debut at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. The stylish 45 Cantius, complete with Volvo Diesel IPS propulsion, is the sister yacht to both the 41 and the 48 Cantius; the Cantius line originally launched in 2010.
"Both the 41 and 48 really set a standard for engineering design in the Cantius family; it was up to our engineers to not only hit, but to exceed those standards with the 45." said Mark Pedersen, president of KCS International Inc. "The 45 is the first in its class to offer a newly designed open floor plan, which allows boaters to open up the glass enclosure at the cockpit and experience the feel of an express boat while enjoying the luxuries of a sedan."
At the push of a button, the retractable sunroof and extended sunshade allow boaters the choice to enjoy either the freshness of the open sea air or shaded protection from the sun's rays. By incorporating the galley, cockpit, and upper salon into the top deck, the 45 Cantius allows all members of the party to remain included during their respective responsibilities. The luxury yacht also offers boaters the ability to relax below deck in a multi-purpose cinema entertaining area. It will never be a dull day on the water!

Beginning at the stern of the boat, a standard fixed swim platform extends over two feet with an optional high-low swim platform that adds an additional 28 inches of length, which allows for easy access on and off the boat. Storage is never an issue, because the L-shaped transom seating area lifts up offering ample space for lines, fenders and an array of water toys. The standard transom sun lounge provides additional storage; that space may be reached from the swim platform, allowing for more convenient accessibility. More storage can be found in the standard starboard fiberglass unit, which encases an ice chest with additional space below. An optional fiberglass unit on the port side can also house an extra refrigerator, grill or icemaker, allowing for customization between both units.
The 45 Cantius has made opening and closing the boat a breeze by blocking out unwanted weather with 114 inches of glass that separate the cockpit from the galley, upper salon, and helm area. On gorgeous days boaters can easily open up the swinging stainless steel glass entry door and window over the galley to create an open layout and a spacious entertaining area. Supplying more natural lighting to the upper salon and galley, the 45 Cantius has a power actuated 71" by 71" sunroof. Additionally, Cruisers has upped the ante by providing boaters with an optional retractable hardtop with sun shade. This sun shade provides an additional 6 feet of shade, completely covering the cockpit of the boat, allowing guests to remain outside while still protected from the elements.
When it comes to entertaining the 45 Cantius provides a living area that the captain, the cook, and the company can all enjoy together. The inventive port side galley includes a stainless steel 7.5 cubic foot refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, microwave convection oven, sink and plenty of storage for supplies. Located above the galley, a 32" standard television rotates so that all seating areas in the upper salon, galley and cockpit may enjoy. There is plenty of seating to choose from; guests can relax at the standard raised interior companion/dinette seating with removable table. Additionally, the 45 Cantius gives you the choice of a standard sofa, an optional sofa sleeper, or two optional recliners, allowing for complete customization of the upper salon seating.
The truly remarkable area of the helm is the navigational center. This cutting edge station offers unique command of the vessel and monitoring of the Twin Volvo Diesel IPS 500-600 engines. Revolutionary Volvo Diesel IPS engines with joystick are standard so the vessel is more efficient and easier to maneuver, while reducing noise and vibration when underway. Since the propulsion units are mounted just forward of the transom, accessing the engine room is made easy through a wide hatch in the cockpit flooring. The engine room offers a bright, functional area with ample room for tool storage and extra equipment.
Cruisers invites boaters to safely transition from the cockpit to the bow of the 45 Cantius by using the molded in steps on the port side with extended stainless steel bow rails as far aft as possible to provide safe and easy access along the eleven inch walkway. The windlass anchor line and chain are recessed into the hull, which enhances the sleek design that the Cruisers Yachts series is known for. Stainless steel grab rails run along both sides of the optional chaise lounge with flip-up back rest cushions for a safe and maneuverable foredeck.
Details of the 45 Cantius: Below Deck
Step below deck and notice how the 45 Cantius has reinvented the master and convertible second and third staterooms. The midstaterooms feature a standard chaise lounge that provides the ideal reading nook, while looking out beautiful post-glazed windows at water level. A queen berth completes the room and provides sleeping arrangements for guests. Finally, boaters can sit back and relax on longer cruises with a television in the theater area that converts from a single berth to twin loungers with foot rests. Six post-glazed windows offer natural light into the secondary stateroom. Completing the guest's accommodations, a day head is available with private wet shower.
Climate is never an issue with fully occupied staterooms. Boaters can keep cool or warm year-round with three air conditioning and heating units, touting a total of 40,000 BTUs, strategically placed throughout the boat for optimal comfort and serviceability. The 13 KW generator allows for worry-free use of all electrical components throughout the vessel without power management issues.
Elegant amenities define Cruisers Yachts style and legendary comfort and the 45 Cantius is no exception. With 6'6" of headroom, the full-beam master stateroom features a queen-sized island berth that is accessible from both the port and starboard sides with storage below. Two full-length cedar lined closets and large overhead storage units on both the port and starboard side offer ample space, perfect for long cruises. Post-glazed windows surrounding the berth capture natural light, illuminating the massive master stateroom. Finally, boaters occupying the master stateroom can enjoy the privacy of the forward head with a separate shower stall and private entrance. It is the ideal amenity for a quick rinse or a relaxing shower.
